causes of eye redness and pain
The redness
in the eye is causes by both physical and health challenges, but sometime the
redness is accompanied by a pain and
itching, when tis happen it portray a serious
health issues and need a quick medical attention, but below are some of the major causes of eye redness and pain

Foreign
bodies that enters the eye , tiny object like dust, pollen grains, pepper etc , will cause irritation, itching, burning
sensations and sometimes pains in the
eye , you react to this by scratching
the eye, after scratching , you
will discover that the eye becomes reddish.

Itching
in the eye due to infection: when the eye itches, you feel the pain and start
to scratch the eye, over scratching the eye will cause blood to accumulate, the
scratching or rubbing may break small blood vessels and this will cause bloodshot
to appear in the eye, to prevent this from occurring use eye drops or
medication when you feel any pain or itching in the eye instead of endangering
the eye.

Dry
eyes: when you have a dry eye, apart from redness, you are going to face other
eye problems like burning sensations, occasional blurred, vision, eye fatigue,
inability to cry etc. A dry eye is an condition when a person does not enough
tears to lubricate the eye, prone with dry eyes are prone to several eye
problems.

Infections:
we cannot conclude without adding this one, infections in the eye can cause
vein lines in the eye to become red. Infections like conjunctivitis,
blepharistis, corneal ulcers and uveitis, these are infections that cause
inflammations in the eye. Another infection called acute glaucoma can cause the
eye to be have redness, acute glaucoma is a rapid increase in the eye pressure
that result in pain.
